Volunteer Opportunities

Your skills and heart to serve can make a meaningful impact in the lives of pastors and their communities. There are several ways you can get involved as a volunteer:

  • Animal Husbandry Training
Help equip pastors and leaders with essential knowledge in caring for livestock, including feeding, shelter, breeding, and management practices to ensure long-term sustainability.

  • Veterinary Training
Share your veterinary expertise to improve animal health and productivity. Teach preventative care, disease management, and basic treatment practices to those raising goats and poultry.

  • Short-Term Mission Trips
Join a team traveling to Zambia or Kenya to support pastors and communities in person. These trips may include hands-on training, animal care, ministry support, and relationship building.

  • Provide Veterinary Medical Supplies
Donate or coordinate the delivery of much-needed veterinary supplies such as vaccines, dewormers, vitamins, and first-aid materials. These resources are critical for the health and sustainability of the livestock.

By volunteering, you become a vital part of empowering pastors to care for their families, strengthen their ministries, and bless their communities.

The project began as an initiative to provide livestock, such as goats and chickens, to pastors in Zambia. This idea was spearheaded by Rev. Francois Ferdinand Murekezi and Bishop Llama, in collaboration with supporters like Dr. Allen Wachter and the Free Methodist World Mission organization. Initial distributions included goats and chickens, which were carefully allocated to pastors based on need, dedication to ministry, and their potential for successful animal husbandry.

Over time, the project evolved to include training in animal care, the establishment of accountability structures, and a "pay it forward" system where recipients pass on animal or bird offspring to other pastors or community members. This approach promotes a cycle of sustainability and generosity, creating a lasting impact on families and communities.  God has impressed on those involved to make this model available throughout Africa as God P\provides.
